Location and Habitat
Location Accuracy (meters):
0-25
Habitat Type:
Riparian - Areas Along lake or stream
Habitat Type Notes:
Creek bed was dry, allowing us to easily traverse the rocky substrate, bank to bank. Surrounding riparian area was primarily medium-sized trees, such as oaks, hackberry, dogwood, with some understory of various (primarily native) forbs and grasses like Chasmanthium latifolium and Malvaviscus arboreus.
Elevation (meters):
259
Area Searched (hectares):

Light Trespass (light cast on surfaces beyond its intended target): Yes
Glare (bright light causing visual discomfort): Yes
Artificial Light Notes:
Most of the survey area was under fairly thick tree canopy with some ground cover to buffer light from nearby homes, but these provided some glare/trespass - some very bright - as one travels up and out of the creek bed. The trail we used to access the creek bed did not have any light sources directly on it.
