The dominant plant species in the survey area was red mangrove (Rhizophora mangle). Some black mangrove (Avicennia germinans) was also present, as well as strangler fig (Ficus aurea).

Artificial Light Notes:

In the immediate survey area, the only artificial light was bright sky glow. Closer to the visitor center, there was glare and light trespass from street lights and the lighting on the observation tower. A Sper lightmeter registered 10 lux on the ground under one of the streetlamps.

We counted 3-5 adults and 20 larvae. The larvae were on the wet mud slightly below the high water mark.
