Observation Notes:

Some of the fireflies flashed over the mowed shoulder and over the road. Observed a couple glowing larvae in the roadside rubble on the bay side (south side) of the causeway. Headlight click beetles also observed onsite.

Flash Location:

Primarily in the mangroves, initially 2-3 feet above the ground but gradually rising higher before dropping down again.

Male Flash Behavior:

Quick, single yellowish-green flashes, stayed close to the vegetation for the most part (although some were over the road and paved path). 2-~7 feet above the ground.

Female Flash Behavior:

Not observed.
